Privacy

FileReady is built to need as little about you as possible. This page describes what the current product actually collects, why, and for how long.

What we never ask for

  • Social Security numbers and dates of birth
  • Account numbers or document uploads – the current product does not accept file uploads
  • Credit scores, credit reports, or any credit pull of any kind
  • Exact income, exact assets, property addresses, or exact loan amounts

Borrower information

We collect and store the following for a borrower session:

  • Scenario-category answers, such as an income type or a source of funds
  • The document-readiness status you assign to each checklist item
  • An email address, only if you ask us to email your report to you
  • Whether you chose to share your report with a named mortgage professional, and any contact details you provide for that share
  • A record of each consent you give, including the exact wording you saw and when
  • Report and session identifiers
  • Creation and expiration timestamps for your session and any report link

There is no borrower registration requirement, and an email address is always optional. You can complete a readiness check and view your results without providing providing an email address.

Professional information

Mortgage professionals who register with FileReady provide their name, company, work email, and professional type, and may optionally provide an NMLS identifier. We also store authentication and access-request status, partner membership, and consent and audit records tied to that account. Professional registration requires email verification and administrator approval before access is granted.

Operational information

To keep the product secure and reliable, we keep security and audit event records, delivery status from our email provider, and minimal technical logs. These records are retained only as long as needed for security, delivery troubleshooting, and retention handling described below.

How long we keep it

A borrower session and its answers are retained for 30 days from creation, after which they expire. A report link expires 168 hours after it is issued, whichever comes first, and expired or revoked links no longer open. Applicable legal or security holds may require us to retain limited records for longer than these windows.

Consent

Emailing a report, sharing a report with a mortgage professional, and agreeing to marketing contact are three separate choices. Every one is off by default, and none is required to see your results. When you do consent, we record what you agreed to, the exact wording you saw, and when.

A partner who sends you a co-branded link cannot see your answers or your report unless you explicitly choose to share it.
